Tiberiu Bucșa, born in 1978, lives and works in Cluj, Romania. Graduated in Cluj, runs an architecture office – SKBD, (2005), whose works have been awarded and published nationally and abroad. Since the beginning of 2005, Tiberiu Bucșa has been an associated teacher at the Technical University of Cluj, School of Architecture and Urban Design, second and third year studios. PhD student in architecture since 2013, with the topic “Working-space in cinematography”, under the tutorship of prof. Dana Vais. He initiated various cultural projects and is a founding member of www.madeincluj.org and Plusminus Association. He currently lives in Athens and works in a team of architects and artists.

Orsolya Gál, born in 1986, lives and works in Cluj, Romania. Graduated architecture from the Technical University in Cluj and has a Masters degree in graphics from the University of Fine Arts in Cluj. Erasmus student in Macerata under the tutorship of Enrico Pulsoni, in 2014, and part of the team that built the exhibition of the Maria Signorelli Collection in Rome. Studied puppetry in Athens with puppeteer Stathis Markopoulos, from 2014, and first performed in Kilkis Festival, Greece with “Pocket stories”. Currently, she’s working in the fields of architecture and puppetry, as a freelancer, in Athens.

Stathis Markopoulos was born in Athens, Greece, in 1972. Between 1991 and 1993 he studied at the State Academy of Puppetry and Alternative Theatre of Prague (ALD-DAMU), Czech Republic. In 1992 he did his apprenticeship and street performances at the workshop of the Spanish puppet company “Marionetas del Matadero”, in the same Czech city. Since 1992, he has been practicing the art of puppet theatre in Greece and abroad, in productions of  “Ayusaya! Puppet Theatre” as well as in collaboration with other theatre and puppet companies in more than 30 productions, designing, making, directing and performing with all kinds of puppets. Some of the workshops and collaborations: Sophia State Academy of Puppet Theatre – Bulgaria, Marionneteatern, Stockholm – Sweeden, Interstudio State Academy of Puppet Theatre of St. Petersburg –  Russia and at the Puppet Centre, Buttersea Arts Centre, London – UK. In the workshop of Ayusaya! PuppetTheatre, he runs an annual adult training course on marionettes, mechanics and animation from which have emerged many of today’s young professionals. Between 1994 and 2001 he was chief editor of the puppet magazine NIMA. During the 2001-2014 period he was president of the Greek Centre of the International Union of Puppetry (UNIMA). He is currently living and working in Athens, Greece, as a puppeteer and teacher.

Adrian Aramă, born in 1954, lives and works in Cluj, Romania. Studied architecture but his activity is rather in the field of fine arts and pedagogy. He teaches Study of Forms and second year studio at the Technical University of Cluj, School of Architecture and Urban Design since 1992. He has a PhD degree in Fine Arts since 2009. Won the silver medal at “Art Addiction in Venice”, in 1998.

Andrei Durloi was born in Năsăud, Romania, in 1990. He studied architecture at the Tehnical University in Cluj, School of Architecture and Urban Design, graduating in 2015. Since then, he has been travelling and working in a team of architects. He currently lives in Athens.

Perényi Flóra was born in Budapest, in 1990, living and studying there. She graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2016. Meanwhile she went abroad for 2 scholarships, first to Madrid (studied at UEM), then in Cluj, Transylvania (internship at Planwerk architecture and urbanism office). While in Cluj, she met other members of the Romanian Participation team, and got involved in the implementation of the project Selfie Automaton.

Oana Andreea Matei was born in Constanța, Romania, in1991. She is currently an architecture student in the fourth year at the Technical University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. In 2014-2015 she had an Erasmus scholarship at the IST in Lisbon, Portugal, and from the end of 2015 to the beginning of 2016 had a 3 months internship at AREA architecture office in Athens, Greece.

Corina Bucea is a freelance cultural worker living in Cluj, Romania. Between 2009 and 2014 she has been working as the manager of Fabrica de Pensule / The Paintbrush Factory – an independent contemporary arts space in Cluj. She has been working in arts production and cultural management, having collaborated with several initiative groups, organizations and artists in Romania, for various arts programs including exhibitions, performances, talks, educational and training programs. Corina also collaborated with the Romanian Pavilion teams in 2013 and 2015.

Dacian Groza is an architectural photographer based in Berlin. Through his personal projects, he observes and documents everyday life. He looks for beauty in the mundane, the places and moments we tend to overlook. His degree in Architecture has helped him form a critical eye, a frame to watch and analyse the world through, and ultimately compose his work.

Alexis Papahatzis was born in Athens in 1977. His family environment was entirely artistic, so he got involved in art from a very early age. Starting with ceramics and theater lightning, he covered a long time of studies in different sectors of art – ceramics, decoration, camera operator, silkscreen and puppet construction and animation with his eminent teacher Mr. Stathis Markopoulos. Eventually, he started making golden and silver jewellery, which became his main profession, through his own lab and exhibition place in Plaka (under the Acropolis, in Athens), together with the puppet construction and animation. His work is characterized by high focus on aesthetics and details.

Ana Botezatu was born in 1982 in Brașov, Romania and currently works in Berlin, Germany. She is a Fine Arts graduate in Ceramics from the University of Arts and Design in Cluj, Romania and works as an artist and illustrator.

Attila Kim, born in 1977, is an architect with extensive experience in architectural design and restoration. He has designed important art exhibitions, and won several awards at the Bucharest Architecture Biennale, was nominated twice for the European Union’s Mies van der Rohe contemporary architecture award, and for the Iacov Chernikhov contemporary architecture award, Moscow. He studied architecture at the Technical University of Cluj Napoca and received several study grants in Slovakia, the USA, and The Netherlands. After obtaining his certificate in architecture, he continued his studies with an MA in the Rehabilitation of Historical Monuments from the Babeș Bolyai University of Cluj Napoca, and a Doctorate in Liberal Arts from the University of Art Moholy Nagy in Budapest, followed by a research grant from Bucharest’s New Europe College.
